LOCAL ARTIST ANNOUNCES SECOND PRINT IN
10th MOUNTAIN DIVISION SERIES:
Proceeds will benefit AUSA to help support
Fort Drum Soldiers and Families
Watertown, New York ----- “Symbols of
Freedom” is the title that Dean T. Richards selected for his
second print in the 10th
Mountain Division Series. In
addition to the prominent images of the American flag and the Bald Eagle, Mr. Richards
also has included a third “Symbol of Freedom,” which is well-known in Northern New York: the
10th Mountain
Division patch. Throughout the print, helicopters, ground artillery, and 10th
Mountain Division Soldiers
surround and protect these “Symbols of Freedom.”
“This print exemplifies the pride and
professionalism of the Soldiers serving our country here at Fort Drum and around the world,” explains
Mr. Richards. “The print features the Stars and Stripes and the magnificent Bald Eagle, which are
symbols of freedom known to all of us. The addition of the 10th
Mountain Division patch among
these symbols of freedom signifies the Division’s critical role in defending our country and protecting
that freedom.”
The “Symbols of Freedom” print was created
to demonstrate the skills and integrity of our 10th
Mountain Division Soldiers, but Mr. Richards
went a step further. He ensured that the print also directly benefited the 10th
Mountain Division Soldiers
and their families. Therefore, a portion of the proceeds from these prints will be donated to
the Northern New York-Fort Drum Chapter of the Association of the United States Army (AUSA),
which ensures that these funds directly support Soldiers and their families.
“On behalf of all of AUSA corporate and
individual members, it is an honor to continue this partnership with Dean and Shay Richards and
Way Seeker Studios,” states Michael R. Forcier, President of the Northern New York-Fort Drum
Chapter of AUSA. “Most importantly, it is a privilege to be part of the continued commitment that
Mr. &Mrs. Richards demonstrate for our Soldiers, their families, and our country’s freedom.”
Each print measures 13.5” x 27.5” and was published from
an original charcoal and graphite drawing and printed on
watercolor paper. Just in time for the holidays, the prints
are being offered for an introductory price
(through December 31, 2005) of $95.00 + tax, and the Artist
Proof is available for $125.00 + tax.
Orders can be placed by calling the Way Seeker Studios at
(315) 775-0207.

Mountain Division,” concludes Mr. Richards.
